This photograph shows Claiborne "Junior" Wilson in his military uniform. Claiborne and his four brothers each served during World War II. Claiborne joined the U.S. Army Air Forces and trained as a fighter pilot. On August 9, 1945, the engine on Wilson's P-40 fighter aircraft exploded during training in Texas. Wilson lost his life in the explosion.
