Soapbox Derby car sponsored by Doerfer Division, built and driven by Mike Jerke in 1978 and 1979. Mike Jerke and his father (Marlyn) built this in 1978 in Cedar Falls. Mike raced in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and Warren, Ohio (pre Akron, Ohio race). Mike was 11-12 when he built the car.
