Pictured in the front row: Edwin; Second row: H.J., John (the inventor), Henry Froelich (John's father), Frederick; Pictured in the back row: Kate, Elizabeth, Gottlieb, Martha & Caroline. Henry Froelich immigrated to the United States with his wife, Kathryn, from Bassfield, Germany, in 1847. The family settled in a settlement that became the village of Froelich, Iowa.
