This book was written for educational use in the classroom to form lessons regarding the history of Iowa. Chapters discuss the early settlers of Iowa, including relations with Native Americans with the Black Hawk War and Sac and Fox Purchase, the establishment of towns with churches and school development, the early businesses of Iowa including the mining industry and transportation during the time.
