This photograph of Daniel Wilson of Dexter, Iowa, was taken in Italy. Daniel and his four brothers each served during World War II. Daniel joined the U.S. Army Air Forces and served as a fighter pilot in a P-38 "Lightning" aircraft. Wilson went Missing in Action over Austria on February 19, 1945, and was later reported Killed in Action in 1946.
