This telegram informed Claube and Leora Wilson of Dexter, Iowa, that their son, Daniel, was Missing in Action. All five of the Wilson's sons joined the military and served during World War II. Daniel joined the U.S. Army Air Forces and served as a fighter pilot in a P-38 "Lightning" aircraft. Wilson went Missing in Action over Austria on February 19, 1945, and was later reported Killed in Action in 1946.
