This hand planter was used by farmers to place corn seeds into the ground. Machines such as this one allowed farmers to plant more seeds in a shorter amount of time than previous planting methods. Content can be used with the following standards: 4th grade SS 4.25 Agriculture in a lesson on inventions and tools used by farmers over time.
