This photograph shows Dugan's Conoco station located in Mount Ayr, Iowa, as it appeared in the 1980s. Mount Ayr resident Earl Dugan built this station in 1939, and he operated it until his retirement in 1955. Dugan's son-in-law, Ed Mercer, took over the station. Mercer later leased the station in 1978. The station closed in the early 2000s.
