The Ringgold County County Home was constructed in 1922. The public housing project lasted until 1939, when the Ringgold County Board of Supervisors sold the building and adjoining grounds in the 1940s. The building served as a nursing home from 1950 until 1975, when it became a private home. It was torn down in 2016.
