This photograph was taken during the Ringgold County Centennial held in Mount Ayr, Iowa, in 1955. The parade float in the photo was entered by the County Soil Conservation District and was constructed by R. E. Hauptmann (Vocational Agriculture instructor at Mount Ayr High School) and the Mount Ayr High School Future Farmers of America. The float won first place in the Agricultural Division of the parade's float contest.
