This chair was made by Judge L.D. Burns of Dallas County. In addition to making this chair by hand, Judge Burns also wrote a History of Dallas County in 1879. Content can be used with the following standards: 8th grade SS 8.25 Iowa Government in a lesson on town establishments in the late 1800s.
