This is a picture of the leaderboard from the 1939 Iowa State Corn Husking Contest. State contests were the 2nd tier in corn husking contests. Competitors first had to win a local corn husking contest in order to be eligible to go to the state contest. From there, competitors would compete at the state level and the winners would go to the National Corn Husking Contest which were held in various towns across the Midwest (heritagedocumentaries.org).
