The Willow Home boarding house was constructed in Mount Ayr, Iowa, in 1895. The house's owner, I. C. Tuttle, operated the boarding house for several decades. In the early 1940s, Raymond and Doris Barker bought the boarding house and operated it until 1959. The house then served as a private residence until it was abandoned in 2000.
