On May 13, 1922, the Moore & Campbell furniture and flooring store in Mount Ayr, Iowa, gave away a sewing machine as part of a contest or promotion. This photograph shows the crowd that gathered for the event. W. S. Moore and C. A. Campbell moved their furniture and flooring store to this location in September 1920 and remained there until their partnership ended in 1940. Moore then continued operating the store alone until 1945.
