This photograph shows Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Wood of Mount Ayr, Iowa. J. E. "Johnny" Wood was Mount Ayr's longest serving train depot agent. He began his tenure at the Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy depot in Mount Ayr on August 4, 1904. Wood retired on January 31, 1936 at the age of 70.
