This photograph shows the High Point Methodist Episcopal Church as it appeared around 1912. This rural church was constructed in Ringgold County in 1874, and it was located about one mile east of the future site of the small community of Blackmore, Iowa. The church was built using mostly volunteer labor and donated materials. The church remained open for several decades, and closed in 1950.
