This small trunk belonged to Mary Hanna, one of the first settlers of Waterloo, Iowa. Hanna received this trunk in a trade that she made with a group of Native Americans, who were most likely Meskwaki. After Hanna's death, the trunk, which is covered with wild boar skin, was passed down to her grandaughter.
