The Close-To-Nature Company was created in 1908 but was not incorporated under Iowa laws until 1910. The company was set up to do general manufacturing. The company was established and ran by W.H. Monroe and Paul Monroe. Even though this company was established on the grounds of "general manufacturing," the company mostly made W.H. Monroe's inventions. The company made "portable buildings of all kinds" such as the incubator pictured above. This incubator was 125th one made and sold by the Close-To-Nature Company to aid in chicken raising.
