The Close-To-Nature Company was created in 1908 but was not incorporated under Iowa laws until 1910. The company was established and ran by W.H. Monroe and Paul Monroe. Even though this company was established on the grounds of "general manufacturing," the company mostly made W.H. Monroe's inventions. The company made "portable buildings of all kinds" including camping tools, outdoor event necessities, and portable agriculture technology. Pictured above is a page out of the grain sprouter brochure disturbed by the Close-To-Nature Co. In the catalogue, one could buy a fireless grain sprouter to help seedlings grow before being planted or sold, double deck hen houses, poultry dryers, feeders, and much more.
