This lithographs shows children planting trees in the school yard. This piece was commissioned by Grant Wood in 1937. Grant Wood was born in Anamosa, Iowa. He was a very well known artist and a teacher at the University of Iowa. Grant Wood's most famous painting was the iconic "American Gothic" (uima.uiowa.edu).
