This object is a lithograph created by Grant Wood. The lithograph depicts a farm land scene of rolling hills sloping down to a large grove of trees. On the right side there is a roof of a building. A row of trees leads away from the right side of the building towards the upper left is a field with seeds sprouting. This piece was commissioned in 1937 by Grant Wood. It is part of a series of lithographs commissioned in 1937. Grant Wood was born in Anamosa, Iowa. He was a very well known artist and a teacher at the University of Iowa. Grant Wood's most famous painting was the iconic "American Gothic" (uima.uiowa.edu).
