These moccasins were made around 1925 by a Meskwaki tribe member. These moccasins include 4 beaded "ears", two each, on the sides of the shoe. "Ear 1" has two birds facing each other and "ear 2" depicts flowers. The moccasins are made from a tanned leather. Moccasins are a common footwear among Native American tribes, yet not all moccasins look the same. They are known for their durability and design, so much so that many shoe companies make their own modern versions of "the moccasin". The modern moccasins we see in stores are far from original Native American moccasins such as the ones shown above.
