This photograph shows George Saling, a resident of Corydon, Iowa, racing in the 1932 Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, California. Prior to racing in the Olympics, Saling attended for the University of Iowa and won the NCAA Championship for the 110 meter hurdles. In the Olympics, Saling won the Gold Medal for the 110 meter high hurdles with a time of 14.6 seconds.
