This is a photograph of the 1918-1919 Mount Ayr High School girls basketball team. Some of the players include Agnes Ross (Far left) and Annamae Armstrong (3rd from left). The team's coach, Ebon McAninch played basketball at Mount Ayr High School before he graduated in 1914. He also coached girls basketball at Knowlton High School in Ringgold County.
