Grant Wood created this lithograph in 1938. Titled, "Vegetables," this lithograph was created in the U.S. and was donated later on by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wood to the Waterloo Center for the Arts. This lithograph was part of a series of lithographs made by Grant Wood. The original copy was drawn by Grant Wood, but not colored. Mr. Wood sent the drawing to his sister, Nan Wood Graham to color. (mfa.org) Grant Wood was born in Anamosa, Iowa. He was a very well known artist and a teacher at the University of Iowa. Grant Wood's most famous painting was the iconic "American Gothic" (uima.uiowa.edu).
